Yes. If stores are bought from a non farm assured holding, cattle need to be on your holding for 90 days and lambs for 60 days to become farm assured. If the previous owner was farm assured, the cattle need to be on a farm assured holding for a continuous
90 days for cattle or 60 days for sheep so this time can be included.
Steers and heifers up to 36 months are killed at all 3 plants. Suppliers sending OTM cattle will be deducted 5p/kg.
Yes. We kill a set number of Welsh livestock each week for our Welsh supermarkets. For us to use your livestock for our Welsh kill, they must be born and bred in, and never left Wales (this includes markets and shows). They must also be farm assured with
FAWL. If the cattle have left Wales, or were bought as stores outside Wales, we can still take them but they will be used for our British kill.
